The goals of the project are to: • Provide an outdoor central gathering space, enhancing our sense of community. • Provide amenities that may enhance our property values. • Positively impact the health and wellbeing of our residents. • Preserve, protect and retain public access to our valuable natural resources. The plan calls for a natural play area, paths, an eco-stage, and other amenities. • The Proposed Plan has a project cost of approximately $900,000 to $1,060,000. • The project would be funded from a matching grant of $400,000 from the State, and $500,000 to $600,000 coming from the Village’s existing capital reserves of $9 million. • The Village will not borrow funds or raise taxes to pay for the project. • The Village projects a balanced budget for the next five years which includes maintenance for the proposed plan.
